Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Participates in the 52nd Arab Labour Conference in Cairo

The Chairman of the Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Fathi Salim Qeshta, and Vice Chairman Mr. Abdullah Al-Satri, participated as part of the State of Palestine delegation in the 52nd session of the Arab Labour Conference, held in Cairo from September 13 to 20, 2026, under the patronage of H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Palestinian delegation participated in the presence of H.E. Enas Al-Attari, Palestinian Minister of Labour, alongside representatives of employers, headed by Mr. Abd Abdo Idris, Chairman of the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, with the participation of Mr. Jamal Jawabreh, Secretary-General of the Federation; Dr. Khairy Al-Masri, Chairman of the Khan Younis Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Ms. Iman Awad, Vice Chairwoman of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Organized by the Arab Labour Organization, the conference brings together representatives of governments, employers, and workers from 21 Arab countries. Its agenda addresses key economic and social issues, including sustainable economic growth, social justice, the impact of climate change on the work environment, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the future of the labour market.
The Palestinian cause also featured prominently during the conference, with Arab Labour Organization Director-General Fayez Ali Al-Mutairi reaffirming that Palestine remains at the forefront of the Organization’s priorities, including support for the Palestinian people, the reconstruction of Gaza, the return of displaced people, and the restoration of employment opportunities for workers.
The Rafah Chamber’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening the presence of the Palestinian private sector in Arab forums, representing employers, and expanding cooperation and coordination with Arab chambers and federations in support of the Palestinian economy, recovery, reconstruction, and employment opportunities.
